Content Processing — OpenXR
Q
What is OpenXR, and how do you use it?
A
OpenXR is a standard XR (AR/VR/MR) interface specification defined by the Khronos Group. It is designed so applications are not tied to a specific device and can run across different runtime environments.
Applications such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and Blender can use XR and 3D output features through OpenXR.
MOPIC provides a glasses-free 3D runtime built on the OpenXR standard. When an application enables the MOPIC OpenXR Runtime, it generates left-eye and right-eye images in real time from the application's 3D data and outputs them as glasses-free 3D.
It can also support a motion-parallax environment, where the viewpoint shifts in real time as the user moves.
Supported Environment
· Supported OS: Windows
· Supported applications: Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, and others
· Runtime built on the OpenXR standard specification
Note
The MOPIC OpenXR Runtime works in tandem with OpenXR-based applications. The application itself must therefore support OpenXR for real-time 3D output and viewing to work properly.
