What is MOPIC's 2D→3D conversion feature?

MOPIC's 2D→3D conversion feature is AI-based and can turn a wide range of content into 3D.

For ordinary 2D video and photos, it uses AI to analyze the shape, motion, and structure of the image to generate a depth map, then creates the left-eye and right-eye images from it.

The converted content can be viewed in glasses-free 3D through applications such as MOPIC Mirror.

Note

Because AI-based 3D conversion has no real left/right viewpoint information in the source, depth quality can vary by content. In general, the clearer the subject separation and the easier the distance is to estimate, the more natural the 3D conversion.
